My Secret Project Revealed
Alright. None of this vague ‘I am been so busy’ talk any more. I’m getting down to business and telling you what I’ve been working on.
OK. Deep breaths. I’m a bit nervous about this. I was approached in June about this project, and after a few meetings and a lot of doodles and scribbles (it filled a couple notebooks) and lots of emails and late nights, it’s ready for the world.
If you’ve been a part of this project, you already know what it is. (You know who you are.) And to these lovely makers, I have to say thank you. It has been such a joy to work with all of you! Your ideas, designs, and creative spirits are so inspiring to me. Makers literally made this project happen.
Drum roll please.
I’m the new Editor of Homemade with Love magazine!
I’m overflowing exclamation points! My first issue of HWL is on sale today. (Issue 6) You can take a peek at some of the projects in it here.
I’d love to hear what you think. The magazine has been redesigned inside and out, so if you’ve seen the magazine before be sure to take a second look. Go take a peek in WHSmith or get yourself a digital copy. ;)
And, because I have to say it: Crafting Fingers is still my personal blog. My opinions here are my own, and don’t necessarily reflect those of the mag.
It’s scary sharing this with the world, but so exhilarating! Now to churn out Issue 7.
Phew! Let me know what you think!
Lots of crafty love,
P.S. Next week is going to be a tutorial-filled celebration here on Crafting Fingers! I have three months of crafts to show to you and can’t wait to share. What have you been working on?
How exciting! Congratulations and happy flatplanning. :)
Thank you Kirsty! Scribbling on blank flat plans has been one of my favourite parts. ;)
HUGE congrats once again! I’m super excited about seeing the magazine ;-)
Thank you Claire, and thank you for being a part of it! ;)

Congratulations! That’s amazing and so exciting! I don’t know you personally, but I’ve been reading your blog for a while and as a blog reader, I’m so proud of you! Get it, girl :)
That’s so exciting! Congratulations! Now I just need to track down a copy of the issue…
Congratulations!! How exciting!! With every best wish for your editorship!
Wow – congratulations and good luck for future issues too. I spotted it today in my local newsagents and its really gorgeous and packed with a great variety of crafty projects – I can’t wait to make the cute mistletoe. I contributed to previous copies which was really exciting and my mittens made it to the front of last issue :) If I can help at all with any knitting and crochet projects, just give me a shout, Lynne x
