Jumping into April

Learning stamping in April on Crafting Fingers

Another month, another new craft!

This April I’m hoping to learn the ins-and-outs of stamping.

Like most of us I’ve used store-bought rubber stamps with store-bought ink. This month I want to explore further than that. I want to make my own stamps

This will be a fun month exploring different stamp materials (potatoes, rubber and more), and I want to try fabric stamping, too. For such a deceptively simple technique there’s so much to try out. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty!

Wish me luck,

    1. Oh, I love Lotta Jansdotter’s work but I didn’t know she had a book on printing too! Thanks for the heads up, Sue :)

  1. Definitely second that about Lotta Jansdotters work. I love the look printing gives so can’t wait to see what you do. I’ve printed with bubble wrap recently, but it is quite a few years since I have tried with a potato!

  2. I love your blog! I am looking forward to reading how your stamping goes this month! I have always wanted to try it and maybe I will!

    1. Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying my adventures. So far stamping has been fun and a bit messy, at least with acrylic paints. I’ll be posting about it soon :)
