Write a post, snap some pics, and hit publish. Bam! Done! Right?
Or not. Blogging is rarely so simple. Craft blogging has its own little quirks, too. I thought I’d share a behind-the-scenes peek of what it takes to go from concept to published post.
If you’re a blogger I’d love to hear your process, too!
Macrame is by far the quickest way to make a fringe. This design looks much more complicated than it actually is; the fringe is all made from the same knot known as the macrame square knot.
I designed this fringe for a newly sewn tote. You can use the same process to attach it to any bag you like. It’s makeover time!
Ribbon roses are technically an embroidery stitch.
This rose just happens to be big enough to be made with a crochet hook.
I love the look of ribbon embroidery and learned to make roses when I designed my planner cover. In fact, I love the look so much I wanted to make it supersized!
This project would be perfect for making brooches, throw pillows, and hair accessories.
Get your crochet hooks ready! This little monkey is raising money for charity. Crochet your own to help Kerry Lord raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charities.
Go here to donate to the #crochetjungle project
All donations to the project (suggested amount £3, please give what you can!) will receive a complimentary copy of the monkey pattern as a thank you.
The #crochetjungle will be on display at The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show at the beginning of March before going on tour later in the year. If you’ve crocheted your own monkey, you can even donate it to the display. More info here.
